The Mid-Michigan Chapter was chartered in 1981 and recognized as the 97th Chapter of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America.  The Chapter is the biggest in Michigan and typically ranks as one of the  largest chapters in our hobby.  In 2017, the chapter’s name was changed to the Michigan Chapter to better represent the diversity of its membership and the goal promoting the hobby to new members and the growing craft beer industry throughout the state of Michigan. Our Michigan Chapter membership roster contains Presidents, Officers and Board Members of the BCCA, as well as inductees into the BCCA Hall of Fame and recipients of The Don Hicks Presidential Award.

Affiliated with both the national BCCA (Brewery Collectibles Club of America) and NABA (National Association of Breweriana Advertising) Organizations, the Michigan Chapter provides members with services on a local level.  Our prime function is sponsoring trade shows where members can gather to not only procure cans and breweriana (memorabilia), but also to share news and information regarding the hobby.

Our Chapter hosts two major shows each year: WINTERFEST is held in the month of January and SUMMERSWAP in July at the American Legion Post 150 and adjacent Boy Scout Park in Frankenmuth, Michigan.  Each of these events draws many collectors from the Great Lakes Region, Canada and beyond.  The Chapter also holds two other chapter meetings during the spring and fall seasons.

The Michigan Chapter also provides members with a very informative newsletter called   “FOAM MATTERS” published four times a year.  Besides the fellowship that develops among the members, the Chapter offers technical advice and assistance to those that are new to our hobby.
